Introduction
Richard L. Cobb is a commercial litigator. He has successfully represented clients in jury trial, bench trial, administrative law hearing, private arbitration, AAA arbitration, the Arizona Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He also acts as a private mediator in commercial disputes.
Rick was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1987. He has since been peer-reviewed by other attorneys, and awarded the highest rating (A/V) given by Martindale-Hubbell. His clients have included municipalities, insurance companies, title companies, developers, homebuilders, material suppliers, general contractors, subcontractors, commercial landlords, and investors. He advises clients on a variety of commercial issues including contracts, title, coverage, construction, licensing, bonding, and liens.
After graduation from Brigham Young University in 1983, Rick started and sold a business. He graduated from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1987. In 1990, he took a sabbatical to work for one year as the legal counsel to the President of Palau. He has taught seminars sponsored by the Arizona State Bar Association, the Construction Law Section, private continuing legal education providers, in addition to seminars for his own clients. Rick is a member of the State Bar Construction Law section. He served a mission for his church in Santiago, Chile from 1977 – 1979 where he became a fluent in Spanish.
