Introduction
Mr. Holt received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1981. He then enrolled in the College of Law at the University of Utah, graduating in 1984. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif upon graduation. He was also an Articles Editor of the Utah Law Review during his time at law school. Mr. Holt has over 24 years of experience in civil litigation. He now limits his practice to estate planning and asset protection planning. He has established hundreds of trusts and many asset protection structures using family limited partnerships, limited liability companies and even offshore asset protection trusts. His litigation experience helps him to evaluate his client’s needs in light of potential challenges and ensures that any plan he puts into place for a client will stand the test of time. Beginning in 1998 Mr. Holt broadened his focus to include investing. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner and he is also the founder and Registered Principal of The Holt Capital Management Group, L.L.C. Mr. Holt and his team of investment professionals take a “hands-on” approach to constructing, and then monitoring, an appropriate investment portfolio for their clients that is fully integrated with the client’s estate and asset protection plan. Mr. Holt is married and is the father of three children. He has served as Volunteer Bar Counsel to the State Bar and was previously associated with the Maricopa County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Program. He is active in his church and serves on its Boy Scout Troop Committee and is a member of the West Maricopa County Bar Association and the State Bar of Arizona.
