Introduction
I have been a shareholder with the firm since 1986. I concentrate my practice primarily in the areas of Real Estate, Zoning and Condemnation Law. I've also done substantial work in the area of Administrative Law, specifically liquor licensing matters.
I have lectured on planning law for National Business Institute Arizona Land Use Seminar, the Arizona Planning Association on The Constitutional Basis for Land Use Regulation and CLE International on Commercial Leases. I am certified as a specialist in Real Estate Law by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization, as well as an accredited LEED Green Associate. I graduated from Arizona State University Law School in 1981 and was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1981 and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona in 1981. I received my undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University graduating with High Honors in 1977.
I'm a member of the American Bar Association; Maricopa County Bar Association; State Bar of Arizona; Section of Real Property Law; Arizona Bar Foundation, Fellow; Home Builders Association of Central Arizona; Arizona Planning Association; Junior League of Phoenix. I'm currently serving as Vice President of The Harp Foundation. I was a Founding Director, President and Secretary of the Board of Directors, Self-Employment Loan Fund, Inc., and served on the Arizona State University, College of Law Alumni Association, Board of Directors, and the O.K. Community Inc., Board of Directors.
SpecialtiesI represent retail and restaurant operators in obtaining and processing liquor licenses and appear at hearings on liquor license issues. I work with clients in development of residential, commercial, office and industrial projects including assembly, rezoning and subdivision of land, negotiation and preparation of development and real estate documents, restrictions and easements. I represent private land owners in real estate valuation litigation including condemnation and property tax appeals.
